The trapped people are comforted by intelligent voice, and maintenance personnel quickly take their positions... At a time when Foshan City is comprehensively promoting the digital transformation of the city, from the installation of elevators to their operation and maintenance, a small elevator has achieved "intelligent survival".
Its safe operation is related to urban public safety and social livelihood. Up to now, there are nearly 290,000 elevators in use throughout the city, among which approximately 60,000 have been equipped with remote monitoring devices, significantly enhancing operational safety and improving regulatory effectiveness.
Elevator installation has been incorporated into the "one-network management" system, providing full life-cycle services
From the feasibility study of elevator installation, the planning approval process, to the later operation and maintenance and other full life cycle links, all links have hopped on the "digital express train".
The application scenario of "One Network for All Management" for the installation of elevators in existing multi-story residential buildings has been launched. Based on the feasibility assessment and research of over 500 doorways within the jurisdiction, a "big data" for elevator installation has been formed - from the consultation and signing of intentions, the processing of approval procedures, construction progress to monitoring, all can be dynamically and real-time tracked, and the progress is clear at a glance.
In the community, as the elevator installation project is in full swing, the issue of maintenance after completion has also come to the fore. The first batch of elevators installed in the jurisdiction were built in 2018. Now it is approaching its "expiration date". Since the beginning of this year, the installation speed has significantly accelerated, and the number of elevators added has exceeded 60% of the qualified doorways. To provide a safety net for elevator installation and maintenance, the street has integrated social organizations, elevator installation enterprises and others to jointly create the "e-Elevator Pass" service center, offering full life-cycle services for elevator installation.
Focusing on the sense of security of residents when taking elevators, "e-Tietong" has created an "electronic ID card" for each elevator. That is, through the elevator control device, the system automatically records the operation time, frequency, fault conditions and other data of the elevator. Meanwhile, "E-Ladder Pass" adopts a 24-hour all-weather response mechanism. When residents report repairs or file complaints, it will dispatch orders simultaneously with "One-Network Management".
In addition, for various professional issues such as the precautions for adding elevators to old buildings in historical and cultural areas, the allocation of funds for residents on the same floor, and the installation of elevators in communities above the subway, "e-Elevator Pass" will act as a "think tank", using its own collected policies and resource libraries to answer residents' questions and provide solutions.
Old elevators have been equipped with "smart eyes", making their operation safer
In addition to comprehensively promoting the public welfare project of installing elevators in existing multi-story residential buildings, Shanghai also has a large number of old elevators in high-rise residential buildings. How to make these elevators operate more safely and reduce risks such as sudden stops and trapping people? The construction of "smart elevators" is also a solution.
In Jiayuan Community, Hongkou District, a decorator placed building materials beside the elevator door to facilitate the transportation of items. Just 90 seconds later, the "Weixiaobao App" on the property management staff's mobile phones issued an alarm: the elevator on the first floor of a certain building had "blocked the door", and it was accompanied by real-time images. The property management staff arrived immediately and stopped this dangerous behavior.
Hongkou District, which ranks among the top in the city in terms of the coverage rate of smart elevators in residential buildings, has installed remote monitoring terminals on elevators and added more than ten smart functions. Once the alarm is triggered, the elevator door cannot be closed until the dangerous behavior is eliminated.
In addition, smart elevators also have functions such as alerts when people are trapped in the elevator and warnings for children taking the elevator alone. Recently, a resident in the North Bund Street was trapped in an elevator and didn't have a mobile phone with him. In a moment of anxiety, an intelligent voice prompt came from the elevator: "Please don't panic. We have informed the property management and the elevator maintenance unit to go for rescue." Ten minutes later, the resident was successfully rescued. Based on the data monitoring from the background, the North Bund Market Supervision and Administration Office found that there had been five elevator entrapitation incidents in the community that month. They immediately summoned the property management and maintenance personnel for a talk, conducted a comprehensive inspection of elevator hazards and implemented rectifications.
Upgrading the existing old elevators to smart ones will enhance residents' sense of security when taking elevators. The relevant person in charge of the Special Equipment Division of the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Hongkou District stated that they are accelerating the upgrading of old elevators, promptly identifying potential safety hazards, and enhancing the effectiveness of supervision.
